Credentials
My journey to empowering and supporting mothers is a story shaped by curiosity, education, and a deep desire to make a difference. It began with my Bachelor of Arts in History, where I developed a passion for understanding human stories and the forces that shape our lives. This foundation led me to pursue a Master of Arts in Psychology, where I deepened my knowledge of mental health, behavior, and the emotional experiences that define our personal journeys.
Before Happy Mama Circle, I taught all different styles of yoga in San Francisco, managed a studio, and was a research assistant at the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF). While working as a research assistant at UCSF, I gained firsthand insight into the importance of evidence-based practices in improving health outcomes. I witnessed how the intersection of research and real-life application could transform lives, and this inspired me to focus my efforts on maternal health—a time of profound change, challenge, and growth.
I sought out specialized training to support mothers physically, emotionally, and mentally during pregnancy, birth, and beyond. My credentials include certifications in prenatal and postnatal yoga, pelvic floor yoga, yoga therapy, and birth doula training. Each of these experiences has allowed me to connect with women during one of the most pivotal times in their lives, offering tools to navigate the journey with strength, resilience, and mindfulness.
These experiences have shaped the way I teach and support mothers. My work blends evidence-based practices, yoga, and mindfulness to create a safe and empowering space for women to connect with their bodies, emotions, and communities. Whether through yoga classes, workshops, or one-on-one sessions, I aim to help every mother feel seen, supported, and capable of navigating this transformative chapter in her life.
